Assessments undertaken

RCSS undertakes spot-purchased Care Act 2014 assessments and reviews, Mental Capacity Act 2005 assessments, Accommodation Needs assessments, NHS Continuing Health Care Checklist assessments to explore Health funding and support etc. for Local Authorities and private individuals. All our assessments and support plans are person-centred with the applications of strength-based and recovery approaches. They are also quality assured by experienced social work staff team.

We ensure that appropriate services and support are put in place to meet the eligible care and support needs of individual adults based on the outcome of their completed Care Act 2014 assessments and reviews. In addition, we work with adults and families to explore available local community services to meet desirable outcomes for adults whilst meeting their life interests and aspirations.

Residential care & support services

RCSS provides tailored supported accommodation in forms of residential care, supported living and respite care for individuals with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Complex needs, Challenging behaviours, and Mental Health problems in a relaxed environment.

Our fundamental aim is to provide safe and high-quality accommodation for individuals with positive, consistent, and excellent standard of care to develop and enhance their independent living skills. We undertake completed needs assessment for each individual adult to determine their abilities and support needs (support plans) and putting in place bespoke package of support dependent on their needs.

We work closely with other professionals including GPs, Occupational Therapists, Opticians, Chiropodists, Social workers, Dieticians, Speech and Language Specialists and other specialist roles. We believe multi-disciplinary approach to ensure that all individuals receive the required support to meet all their individual needs.

Our Supported living empowers individuals to increase their skills and independence, encouraging them to become more self-confident to make their own choices and decisions. We put in place a range of support services which are person-centred which will lead completely fulfilled lives in their own homes.

RCSS also provides short-term placements for individuals requiring some intensive support during crisis to avoid breakdown in support as well as to provide a break for families from their caring roles. Respite can be arranged as a one-off or regular basis. We are happy to consider placements in an emergency situation.
